I have finished the first version of my Ethernet DPI module for
Verilator, it's available here:
https://github.com/rdiez/ethernet_dpi
With this module, you can talk to your simulated Verilog system (like an
OpenRISC SoC) with standard network tools like ping or Wireshark.
The Ethernet DPI module contains a few extra checks to make sure that
the software driving the Ethernet controller behaves appropriately. You
may find it helpful when debugging your ethernet driver, or when porting
it to another operating system or platform.
Any help testing this module would be appreciated.
