I wonder if it makes sense to maintain 3 different test suites: one in or1ksim, 
one in ORPSoC (which is rather small) and the merged one I ported to orbuild.

The latter has the advantage that you can run it easily against other targets. 
As you have seen, orbuild's test suite is the most helpful one when it comes to 
finding bugs in ORPSoC and will also help debug other upcoming CPU core 
implementations, like Peter Gavin's CGEN-based simulator.

Wouldn't it be better if you ran orbuild's test suite on your PC before you 
checked in your changes?
