Looks like I made a mistake when setting up the new directories. I used
GDB 6.8 as the stable version. However it looks like GDB 7.2 should be
the stable version, and GDB 6.8 is the old version.

I've corrected the directories, so GDB 7.2 is now in the gdb-stable
directory. It all builds correctly for me.
