Hi all! We have now tagged OpenSAF 5.2.FC on the default branch. This means that only defect tickets and approved enhancement tickets can be pushed to the Mercurial repository. The approved enhancement tickets are the three that are still on review for OpenSAF 5.2: tickets [#2144], [#2145] and [#2151].
Since we are about to move from Mercurial to GIT, we have not created any new maintenance branch for OpenSAF 5.2 in Mercurial. Instead, the default branch shall be used for bug-fixes (and the three approved tickets mentioned above). Thus, we currently have the following three active branches in Mercurial: opensaf-5.0.x: Code that will go into OpenSAF 5.0.2 opensaf-5.1.x: Code that will go into OpenSAF 5.1.1 default: Code that will go into OpenSAF 5.2.0 (GA) Enhancement tickets that are intended for the next OpenSAF release (after 5.2) shall be developed in GIT. However, we need a couple of more days before the GIT repository is ready to be used. This means that you currently cannot push any enhancement tickets for the next release. A separate announcement will be sent out when you can start using the GIT repository. Also be aware that we are planning to re-indent the code to get a fresh start without whitespace problems in the new repository. This means that it will not be possible to apply the same patch on both the Mercurial repository and the GIT repository without first re-basing it. Therefore it would be good if as many defect tickets as possible are pushed to the Mercurial repository before we open up the GIT repository. Please prioritize the tickets on the 5.2.RC1 milestone, which as listed at the following URL: https://sourceforge.net/p/opensaf/tickets/milestone/5.2.RC1/ regards, Anders Widell ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Opensaf-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opensaf-devel
