** [tickets:#1841] amfd: Out of sync at si-swap when coldsync is late**

**Status:** review
**Milestone:** 5.1.FC
**Created:** Fri May 20, 2016 06:09 AM UTC by Hans Nordebäck
**Last Updated:** Fri May 20, 2016 06:09 AM UTC
**Owner:** Hans Nordebäck

At start of a new amfd standby in a large cluster the cold sync request is sent
late, 1 min. Likely due to the large cluster, 75 nodes, and latency in e.g.
IMM calls.
The amfd active cb->stby_sync_state is wrongly set to AVD_STBY_IN_SYNC and
before the cold sync request is received, that sets cb->stby_sync_state to
AVD_STBY_OUT_OF_SYNC an si-swap is initiated.
The standby is out of sync but the active is in sync.

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
