The note is almost 2 years old, and when I sent it, I was hopping that someone from Coolkey would take up the changes. This does not appear to have happened, as the coolkey code has not been changed in 4 years. IMHO we should be looking at CNG and minidrivers instead of CSPs. But the note also has some OpenSC specific issues that need to be addressed, such as during login there is no stdout or stderr or valid HKCU in the registry as the user is not yet logged in. > >> Nevertheless, it would be nice if somebody reanimated one of the >> PKCS#11 related CSP-s. > > +1. This would allow to use some Windows tools: smartcard login, native > disc encryption, Internet Explorer 8, etc ... As I also said in the note, the card we are interested in is the PIV. Windows 7 has built-in support for PIV, thus we don't have a great need for OpenSC on Windows 7. But if someone else wants to build and test it, I can give some support. > > Kind regards, -- Douglas E.
