Hi Carsten,

the implementation of the file IO is done as far as sketched on the 
website.
It has three caching policies
      None = 0, ListFetched, StoreFetched, StoreParsed
and can handle compressed files (GZIP)
      Compressed = 0, DeCompressed
The content providers can also operate asynchronuously (with an 
additional thread).
It uses ASIO and BOOST.regex, BOOST.filesystem.

My collegues in Graz and I currently use it with OpenSG 1.6 and 1.8. It 
still needs proper integration
with the SceneFileTypes (then also the progress callback should be solved),
although we have experimented with own versions of OBJSceneFileType and 
Gerrits VRMLSceneFileType.
