yes we do. 2.x will have a rt backend. There is already
some pre alpha work in place, though I have to update my tree ;-).

I'm currently clogged with other things (course works) but that
should cease in a week or two.

Currently our main focus is to get the infrastructure running on
cells. My hope is that from there to the GPU is a small step as
some characteristics are quite similar. Maybe we interleave that
if I find some spare time.

The basics not that much, it gets more interesting once you start
getting it through the cluster though ;-)
