as Oliver said the only tools that are used are doxygen and convert
(from ImageMagick). I'm running doxygen 1.3.4 and convert from
ImageMagick 5.5.6 without problems.
The \hideinhierarchy command that doxygen complains about is an addition
that we made to clean up the class hierarchy a little without removing
the classes from the docs. The official version doesn't have that, but
it should work nonetheless.
We're not doing anything fancy, so these versions shouldn't be critical.
And those tools shouldn't be able to crash anyway. ;)
