Hi,

It absolutely does! And it works very well as well. Doing your interface
in this manner is a lot of work though, but if you really need a fancy
user interface, that's the way to go... If you just need a "standard" ui,
you don't have to reinvent the wheel.... There are lot's of open source
toolkits.... WxWindows, Qt, etc...

Cheers,

  Tnoi

Oggetto: Re: [Opensg-users] Question

Hi. Well, Touch Screen probably returns Screen X Y coordinates. You can draw
3D elements in the scene represeting
your buttons (simple Quads or fancy geoms) and then you can trace a ray
using X Y screen coordinates. If the ray intercept any control object of
yours (button or slider or something) you can make it as selected.

Im new to OpenSG too, but I really think it does supports something 3d
object-ray interception...

I don´t know this helps you....

Hi, first of all i'll say i'm a new user of opensg; i start now to use it
because of my thesis in the university...
I'm working with augmented reality and artoolkit in particular. I should
implement an interface with opensg using artoolkit as a tracking system. My
problem is that the interface should be used on a tochscreen and i don't
have any idea if opensg allows me to create buttons in the scene which i can
activate or deactivate through a touchscreen...

does anybody have any idea about it??

Thanks
