another thing. It may be that the geometry isn't tessellated yet
(still shouldn't crash methinks, but unfortunately I cannot try it
right now). Normally geometry is only tessellated before it gets drawn
for the first time. You can force the tessellation to happen via the
forceTessellate() method of the Surface class, please try calling this
method before trying to obtain the geometry. TestSurfaceRender.cpp
should provide an example how to use it.
