Just FYI, I've successfully compiled HEAD CVS for VC90.
You can run with -j X (to do stuff fast), but you must build again without -j. That succeded for me. (W.r.t scons' -j flag: either scons does not understand vc-compile deps, or vc is not suited to scons) For manifests, make sure you copy them as well as the .exe files if you copy/move the tutorial-exes to a different directory.
