The only advantage I see in my solution is simplicity and the saving of storage. You are right that my solution introduces an upper bound of 32 children nodes. I'm fine with that, but of course it is not perfectly general.
However, I must confess that I do (currently) not know how to introduce a new MFInt32 field. So, I have to spy a little bit into the implementations of other osg classes. Also, currently I do not have masterd the FCEdit tool which probably is the correct way for introducing new classes into OpenSG. By the way, is this tool functioning on the windows platform? Could you tell me how I properly send files to you? Should I attach a compressed zip file?
