I think scons can output visual studio projects / solutions, if one 
writes a target for that. If you need just that, perhaps try putting 
some effort into extending the scons-scripts to do that (rather than 
rewriting the entire thing in cmake-script :)

I think scons works well enough. The only issue is that it's a bit slow 
at doing nothing, but that's something I can live with (and probably 
work on too.. :)
