there is Examples/Simple/CMakeLists.txt which includes one of the above 
depending on the build being part of the main system build or it being 
standalone. So I think this is ok, since the 
Examples/Simple/CMakeLists.txt is the top level file doing the version 
check Gerrit was referring to in the message.
