I have been working on getting OpenSG 2 to work on 64-bit Mac OS X Snow Leopard. On the surface, this shouldn't be a big deal, but there is no 64-bit version of Carbon. My understanding of it is that there never will be. Currently, OpenSG 2 uses Carbon as its native window type on OS X. The work I have been doing is to allow Cocoa to be used as the native window type when targeting 64-bit Mac OS X.
At the moment, I need to write a version of OSG::CSMNativeWindow that uses Cocoa. I don't think that this will be too hard, but before I dive any further into it, is anyone else pursuing this or planning to do so? I would rather not duplicate efforts, especially since I cannot make any guarantee about a delivery date for a patch. Ideally, collaborating with someone else would be beneficial in this case since I am working on parts of OpenSG that are not terribly familiar to me. -Patrick -- Patrick L.
