Could it be: depends: libsdl1.2debian-alsa | libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio ? So people who do not use pulseaudio could use Openshot too?

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: In Progress Bug description: 1) OS : ubuntu jaunty (9.04) 2) openshot: v0.9.43 the default alsa device in Jaunty is of type "pulse", and it does not seem to work with openshot : the sound is choppy then finally stops, freezing openshot. To work around that bug, I have to edit ~/.asoundrc to set another device as default.
