UpdateVelocityChangeThreshold has been around for a while and is in 0.8.

The most recent terrain sending changes, such as SendTerrainUpdatesByViewDistance are not. They came at a point where I needed to minimise regression risk from any changes. I know they were disabled by default but there's always the risk of bugs meaning that such changes are actually live (no aspersions on Mister Blue, any of us can and do make such mistakes).

UpdateVelocityChangeThreshold is for the smoother flying flx and
SendTerrainUpdatesByViewDistance is for the sending
terrain from the avatar outward up to the avatar's view distance. The former
should be in the release even if the
variable is not there (I'll have to check on that) but the terrain update is
even still off by default in branch
'master' as the feature is not fully vetted.

I recall the setting getting added to an ini in Trunk. Whether it made it
into the release, I can't say - it did
happen quite late in the RC process.

But if you compare 0.7.6.12 with 0.8 there are not much changes.
And i remember that robert have made a few important changes.
But cant find them back. Why are the not as option in the ini's ?

Now we need to search and find the right setting to put them in.
