For comparison, Ubuntu 14.04 (which I'm still using) has Linux kernel 3.13 with Mono 3.2.8. I haven't experienced such
crashes there.
Ubuntu 10.10 has Linux kernel 3.16 but still with Mono 3.2.8. It will be interesting to see if that combination also
sees such problems.
