As was discussed on Mantis, it doesn't look like this is due to llSleep which doesn't surprise me since it's a simple
piece of code.
Assumming we're talking about the script at [1], I would start to suspect llSetColor(), off which hangs a surprisingly
complicated bit of TextureEntry manipulating code.

Ubuntu 10.10 has Linux kernel 3.16 but still with Mono 3.2.8. It will be
interesting to see if that combination
