With this, legacy viewers will see 55fps but the viewer now has
enough information to show the real FPS. Viewers would have to
implement code to handle this.

This commit is from avinationmerge, not into the master. If a viewer dev
has to "implement code to handle this " there are questions to be asked
about his seriousness !
