Good News! As you know I've been working on developing a combat HUD for OpenSim, and have made much progress!
Where I am with this project; - I have written a working gun script that will project bullets to targets - Bullets are scripted to delete themselves after being fired - Bullets are scripted to turn into a physical object after leaving gun (resolved the collide/phantom issue) - Bullets announce to combat meter if target was "hit" - If target is "missed" a random ricochet sound is played - If target is "hit" a hit sound is played, and points are removed from targets health Where I am going with this project; - variable damage depending on weapon used - develop a meter compatible HUD - A working "armor" system to enable body armor bonuses - armor damage which eventually renders armor "useless" I have other ideas as well, but because of time restrictions (life), I have to take this project on little by little...but it is looking very promising :D -- View this message in context: http://opensim-users.2152040.n2.nabble.com/OS-Combat-HUD-Update-tp6040036p6040036.html Sent from the opensim-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Opensim-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/opensim-users
