This was unintentional - the result of a little whoopsie I made in 8c3eb324c4b666e7abadef4a714d1bd8d5f71ac2 while
hunting another bug. Hopefully fixed in b7f81d3. Thanks a lot for hunting down the exact commit, Ai, that was really
helpful.

I noticed that the old style stopped working between r/16363 (23-Jul-2011) and
r/16512 (1-Aug-2011) so you might want to
check out any HG scripts you are using to check they still operate.
