As a quick sanity check you could just try pointing your browser at the php.
If this part is working you should see

Other than that, I'm afraid the next step is to insert a Console.WriteLine(inputXml) at about line 1159 in
XmlRpcGroupsServiceConnectorModule.Send(String url):XmlRpcRespone to see what you're actually getting back.

The config.php file is correctly set up to point to the correct database, with
the right login and password.
