The package looks promising, just tried it. It did not work right out of the box on a joomla 2.5. (hence had to change the names of the group tables to match to the ones my box uses by editing the code, and had a little trouble connecting it to the correct mysql database.)
But then all the regions showd up, the group and user info and the update foto is planning will add search and events. I hope he does not forget to make a config section for the database connection and the tables.
