Jim,

I think you're right. It's time.

I wanted to add an MSI installer for windows (I have a framework now
that works well for me - the wix project at http://wix.sf.net";. I've
used wix on other projects, and it works REALLY well (IMHO). It should
only take me a couple of days to get that into place.

I'd also like to spend a day or two on the autotools build system. I
don't think it needs much, but I want to get openslp 2.0 into my home
project on build.opensuse.org. It might take a tweak or two of the
build system to get this far. This will allow us to automatically
create and publish RPM and DEB packages for openSuSE Factory, and
10.x, SLES 9 and 10, Fedora 6 and 8, Ubuntu, Debian and CentOS. These
automatically built packages will then automatically be published on
software.opensuse.org. You need a free Novell account to access the
build site, but anyone can access the software site to download the
packages, once they build successfully. I'm getting pretty good at
this stuff now, so I think I can accurately estimate a couple of days
to get it up and published.

I'm wrapping up my project here at work now, so I have a little time
to work on it. Let me get back to you in a few days and we'll get a
beta release done.

John
