Ron, Do you mean that you want your slp services to persiste between reboots? If so, use the slp.reg file.
or are you meaning something else? Matt -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 15 July 2008 14:04 To: openslp-devel@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Openslp-devel] Fault-Tolerance / Persistent Data I was getting ready to use openslp in production on SLES10 SP1 and was surprised to find out that there isn't persistant slp service data on a restart. I see that it was on the issue list to be addressed but I was wondering what the current plans are there? I see this as a major problem with migrating from Netware to Linux for SLP DA services. Is there a configuration suggestion on how to minimize the affect of a server failure/restart? I am understanding that having two or more SLP servers doesn't minimize the impact. If a SLP server is up, then the Novell client doesn't try a second slp server for the information it needs. Is this correct?
