This means that applications are either designed and built to use the
SLP client library to advertise themselves, or not. If they are not, but
you still wish to advertise those services via SLP, then you may
manually insert the information such an application might advertise
(were it designed to do so) into the slp.reg file. Then, when the SA/DA
comes up, it will register and propagate that information, as if it had
been advertised by the application, itself.
