There isn't a process that we go through, mainly because there hasn't been
an official release while most of us have been active contributors! Normally
John Calcote pushes the releases out, I don't know if he has a procedure,
John?

I agree we should be producing another official release. Gareth, are there
problems that you know of in the latest revision?

cheers
Matt

It wasn't so much a suggestion that we should do another official release
(which I think we should) more a question of whether there is a procedure
for deciding when to do a release and which revision?

Hi,

OpenSLP 2.0.0-beta1 is 2 years old now and has known problems and the
recommendation seems to be to use an up to date revision from the
development tree instead.

So is this the official recommendation?

are there any solid plans to release another official version?

what kind of qualification is involved in releasing an official version?

Just so I know how to treat OpenSLP in some of our software.

Thanks

Gareth.
