Greetings, I need to update an application, which features several different modules spread out across multiple servers.
In addition, a few of these modules speak different module versions, which are vastly different in their protocol stack (transport layer protocol, message formats, middleware used, encryption). Is it possible to use SLP to query a specific server (running an SLP daemon) for a list of services / modules it hosts and along with that, the protocol versions and ports? In short, in my use-case I already know the server address, but I would like to use the service enumeration feature of SLP to get information on the services, service versions and service ports hosted on a specific server. I hope, you can help me out with this question. Thank you and Greetings. -- I prefer plain text mails. I prefer pgp|gpg signed & encrypted mails! Key servers: pgp.mit.edu, gpg-keyserver.de
