I'm not sure if it'll work properly. As apposed to the google gadget that aren't user based, the openSocial apps will need to get the owners details - his friends, etc. So if you don't have an account on that container, it'll have no data to give you, you couldn't add friends in order to test friends related applications and it will not be a good representation of the application.
But insisting that every container have a sandbox area to check and adapt the apps., before releasing them to the general public, is a very good idea. Also, I think it will be done even if Google wont insist because as a developer I would prefer to create applications to the containers that give me a better working environment. Lee Eden.
