This is a pretty good request and I'll be sure to pass it onward. Regarding being able to inject data into the container to test your applications - I don't think that this will be likely on the Orkut sandbox, but we are going to be releasing a Container developer's kit that will contain a container implementation that runs locally and will support saving and loading state to/from XML files. I believe that such a tool will be really useful for app as well as container developers, so I'll be sure to post here when we release.
