The data goes directly into the container.

Google was just nominated by the launch partners to enforce API compliance
through TOS. Looks like Eric Schmidt's (quite successful) experience at Sun
fighting Microsoft with Java's legal framework is being transplanted here.
Wait till you see trademark license requirements and a friendly mascot or
something to make trademark recognizable by consumers. :)

I wonder if there can/will be a governance process around this that involves
more than one company. The way it is now, Google ultimately controls who
gets to play and who does not. Though launch partners may also have a say in
this, since we have no idea what sort of private arrangement they are party
to.
