The OpenSolaris Self-Service Testing application is now available and
ready for use by OpenSolaris contributors.

Self-Service Testing allows developers to run functional and performance
tests on their code in a fully automated fashion prior to integration
into the OpenSolaris code base. Binary code is uploaded, tests and
benchmarks are selected, the tests are run and results are made available
online for viewing. Email is also used to keep the submitter informed of
the test progress.

The current open source test suites on opensolaris.org and many open
source benchmarks can be run using this service. For more information see:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/testing/selftest/

The Self-Service Testing application can be accessed at:
http://test.opensolaris.org/

Both user and guest access is available. Guest access allows any
OpenSolaris registered user to view test results. In addition,
OpenSolaris contributors are automatically added to Self-Service
Testing at the user level which allows them to upload code and
submit test runs.

OpenSolaris Self-Service Testing was jointly developed by the Solaris QE,
Solaris ON Pre-Integration Testing and Solaris Performance Pre-Integration
Testing groups at Sun Microsystems.

Cheers,
Jim
