OpenSolaris FROSUG Meeting October 25th 2007 (LDOMS) This months FROSUG (Front Range OpenSolaris User Group) meeting is on Thursday, October 25th 2007. Rich Reynolds will give a presentation on LDOMS.

About the presentation: Logical Domains - Concepts and Examples An overview of the concepts and some examples of how to use and where to use LDom's, both from a detailed day-to-day operation and from an architectural development and deployment of virtuialization perspective. About our presenter: Rich has noodled around in the Unix world since 1978, as a device driver writer, a software researcher, a security researcher, and as a architect of large data center solutions to complex business problems. He has a degree in Coastal and Estuarian Geomorphology and Automated Cartography from San Diego State University, and has a number of patents associated with his name, some of which early on were donated to the public domain to enhance the graphics community's ability to focus on the bigger problems. He is an original source licensee of both SVR4 and BSD, and helped develop a number of the device drives for now arcane and unusual devices, in both the oil and gas industry as well as the intelligence community.
