And it is normal to make it more difficult to change a constitution (a legal "kernel") than to change lesser bylaws. You need to build consensus that change is necessary. The only substantive objection I saw to the proposed constitution was that the draft depends on a revised opensolaris charter which doesn't yet exist -- in other words, in the view of the objectors, things were being done in the wrong order. I'd like to encourage the new OGB to do their part to allow the necessary charter revisions to happen promptly. - Bill
