Thanks for responding to the issues list.  I haven't
digested all the answers to my issues yet.  I'll run
through the answers again and get back to you.

A couple of things jump out at me from the package map...
First, the installation uses dot directories to hide things.
Is this a result of how eclipse installs on other platforms
or is this something that this project is introducing?
Second, the installation uses a temporary directory called
tmp.  Is this the result of how eclipse installs on other
platforms or or is this something that this project is 
introducing?
