With that name ? Isn't this more like 0 at 0.so.1, extendedFILE.so.1, madv.so.1 etc ? In other words I don't think it should be specified on a link line so does it need to begin with lib. Also isn't there a better name than the highly generic "shim" ? My suggestion would be: leading_underscore_synonyms.so.1 -- Darren J Moffat
