We already have 'ral' for RT2500, 'rum' for RT2501, and 'ural' for the
RT2500USB. Do the folks at Ralink really redesign their hardware from
the ground up with every new product? Is there really no commonality
among these drivers?

This area doesn't look right to me. A profusion of drivers for
substantially similar hardware will cause support and maintenance
problems down the road.
