What is Songbird? Thunderbird's little brother? > (cc'ing Nelson from NSS team for insight) > > Is 3.12 formally released yet? 3.12.0 was released for use in FF3 (more generally, Mozilla products) only. It did not pass, or even undergo, Sun's rigorous QA, and as such is not qualified for distribution in Solaris as part of /usr/lib/mps (where official Solaris NSS libs go). NSS 3.12.0 is now available for testing purposes (only) within Sun, as a "Technology Preview Release". See attached announcement. Sun products that use NSS and expect to release in 2009 can test with it now. They'll have to live with the present bugs. >>> If newer than that just work with the NSS team to get it updated instead. >> >> It'll be great that the NSS team could update to a newer version. Yes, that is the latest official Sun version of NSS. NSS 3.11.10 will come out this quarter. > If 3.12 is out already I imagine NSS team will publish it in the > reasonably close future so you could just depend on it. I expect to see a 3.12.x (x probably being 1 or 2) come out as the first official Sun release of NSS 3.12.x this calendar year. /Nelson -------------- next part -------------- An embedded message was scrubbed...
