I know of at least 5 different implementations, including mine. It would be a 
nice idea to think about how to deal with this if we did like to make all of 
them available on OpenSolaris.

BTW: Glenn Fowler mentioned "star wars", but pax(1) was the peace after the 
"tar wars" to the beginning of the 90s.
