There are at least two axis here that may be getting confused:

    1) did you follow our processes?, and
    2) how well integrated into OpenSolaris are you?

I couldn't care less about number one - it is simply a
"symptom" and not an end goal in and of itself.

The second one starts to touch on *why* we do our processes.
They tend to cause projects to have better "OpenSolaris Systems
Integration" quality.

We don't do process crap just for the sake of doing process crap.
We do it because of the benefits and value such review provides.
The converse of this is also important - if our processes stop
adding value, the processes are broken and need to be fixed or
replaced - or even abandoned, if they can't be fixed.

300-message fasttracks, ratholes about filesystem(5) and beating
up Bart all fall into the "adds so much negative value that we
should simply shoot the horse and get over it" bucket that it
is not surprising that people would rather find ways to avoid
the process...
