Reading section 4:
o S10 DLPI applications that do not use libdlpi are not supported in
S10C. See Section 3.8
That precludes most applications which use raw ethernet, since many
(most!) of those were written before libdlpi existed. I understand that
vanity names would not be supported, but can't these devices work with
ordinary "/dev/" links?
Section 3.3.1: Does "struct sockinfo" exist as part of a public API? If
so then the netstat binary alone doesn't solve the problem. How will
other apps besides netstat deal with this change?
Section 3.5.2: I've seen autopush used to perform some rather
sophisticated TCP/IP analysis. I'm not sure that this is needed on
S10C. The fact that this won't be supported needs to be pretty clearly
stated in release documentation.
Section 6: I think IPsec is a pretty important question... any progress
here? If it doesn't work on S10C with exclusive stacks, then this will
need to be *very* clearly spelled out in release documentation.
Otherwise this case looks good.
