That precludes most applications which use raw ethernet, since many (most!) of those were written before libdlpi existed. I understand that vanity names would not be supported, but can't these devices work with ordinary "/dev/" links?

If so then the netstat binary alone doesn't solve the problem. How will other apps besides netstat deal with this change?

Section 3.5.2: I've seen autopush used to perform some rather sophisticated TCP/IP analysis. I'm not sure that this is needed on S10C. The fact that this won't be supported needs to be pretty clearly stated in release documentation.

Section 6: I think IPsec is a pretty important question... any progress here? If it doesn't work on S10C with exclusive stacks, then this will need to be *very* clearly spelled out in release documentation.

Otherwise this case looks good.
