IP fragmentation hides the distinction.
It is the unicast MTU that is reported using the various interfaces that
report MTU (dladm, ifconfig, routing sockets).
AFAIK this is similar to how ifspeed is handled for WiFi; 802.11 handles
multicast and broadcast differently than unicast resulting in a rather
different max bandwidth for multicast and broadcast than the reported
unicast number.
