I'm studying UltraSPARC architecture, do Sun employees use some sort of "secret" internal documentation that is not available to the general public?
Yes, for the older processors. But the table in question is mostly copied from Figure 33, p.65, of the SPARC v9 specification. That's available from sparc.org: http://www.sparc.org/standards.html
I'm quite interested in processor architecture, cache memory organisation and instruction scheduling. Some of these topics are covered in SPARCv9, USII and USIII manuals, is there any other documentation which is not available from Sun's website?
Have you visited opensparc.org? You can even download the RTL for UltraSPARC T1. Cheers!greg _______________________________________________ opensolaris-code mailing list opensolaris-code@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/opensolaris-code
