This does of course not happen right after installation, but after I installed some software. I re-installed the box and test step-by-step now. SunStudioExpress, mercurial, subversion and some Gnu autotools (installed to /usr/gnu) are off the hook. I suspect QT (one of the few remaining packages) to be the cause for this - but am afraid to kill my system again... The single google hit for this is a Sun blog entry which describes this problem as a result of inconsistent kernel/user-land updates. Maybe QT feels the need to bring its own ld - would this be possible?
