This sounds like you used IP addresse ( like 192.168.x.y
or 10.x.y.z) to acces your router
and
have no DNS server who resolves things like
yahoo.com to  206.190.60.37

try
# ping yahoo.com
and
# ping 206.190.60.37

If only the last command works, then
you have no DNS server configured
on your Solaris machine
