The ON gate will be producing IPS packages in the near future instead of SVR4 packages.

So producing IPS packages would be a good thing as eventually every project on opensolaris.org will produce them.

The format is simple enough that others can transform the packages if needed, and I believe Moinak, et al. can do so now.
