Experience? I mean, the most important Free Software programs are working in OpenSolaris, this a fact: GNOME, KDE, almost of the GNU programs, Mozilla, etc. There will be some of them which will fail to compile or won't work as expected, that is sure. We have to fix them sooner or later, so it brings us a list of which ones have problems.
